My holiday in Welington

Once upon a time a girl named Alice and a boy named Hudson and their Mum and Dad went to the Beehive for their Grandads last speech.

After school we got packed. When dad got home we went to get our fish and chips and ate in the car.  When we got to Christchurch it was bed time.  The next day we went to the airport.  While we were waiting we got a photo with our tickets.  When we were on the plane the sun was bright.  I liked when we landed!  Then we had to wait for the rental car and went to meet our cousins Abby and Becky but Judah and Ari were to small to go.  When we met we went to a cafe.  I got a burger and Hudson got a burger too.

After that we went to Grandads office in the Beehive.  Hudson and I got changed for Grandads last speech.  After we got changed we went to see where we were going to sit.  Next we went to John Key's house for a snack.  We were too tired to get a photo with John Key.  Then we went to have tea at our friends house.

The next day we made breakfast and headed off to our cousins Abby, Becky, Judah and Ari's house.  It took a while but finally we got there.  First we went on the trampoline then it was Abby and Becky's mums birthday tea.  Then it was bedtime.

The next day we watched TV.  It was a shame because Abby and Becky had school so we played alone.  Finally it was time to pick them up.  On the way home we go an ice-cream.

Finally it was the morning and we were leaving that day.  We left to go to Wellington then we dropped off the rental car and went on a plane to Christchurch.  On the plane it was bouncy and we were laughing our head off but Mum and Dad only laughed when we landed in Christchurch.  It was hot when we arrived.  Our friends picked us up and we went to bed.

The next day we went to the Botanical Gardens.  After tea we went to bed.  Finally it was morning and we had breakfast and drove home.  I had a fantastic time and I would love to visit again!

  1. What a great story Alice! Good work...Dad and I liked the way you wrote about our trip. That truly was the longest story you have written yet. Keep up the good work!

  2. Thank you Mrs Weir for taking the time to publish it and put up photos...it's such a great learning tool for students to see their work and be able to show us parents at home.
